Donate Historical Items

Throughout the Mission Inn’s history, hotel guests purchased artworks, artifacts, and souvenirs to take home with them. For over fifty years the Inn also operated a large “curiosity shop,” the Cloister Art Shop, which sold a combination of antiques, furniture, art, books, Native American crafts, and curios from China and Japan. Additionally, the large auctions held at the Mission Inn following the site’s sale outside the Miller family further dispersed the hotel’s historic collections. Today, items from the Mission Inn are spread across the country. In an effort to best interpret the hotel’s history, the Mission Inn Foundation & Museum launched a “Bringing It Back Home” campaign to actively seek donations of historic objects, art, photographs, and documents that have connections to the Mission Inn.
